It has often been said that there are very few new ideas in horserace betting. Very occasionally one comes along to give us that “Eureka” moment. Tony Gibson recently presented us with this system and I can honestly say that I have never before encountered this unusual but highly successful way of finding big priced winners on a regular basis.

How many times has a short priced favourite been beaten by an apparent outsider of 16/1, 20/1, 33/1, 40/1 and yes even 66/1. I have previously told you that you will be betting on the top thoroughbreds and this was emphasised at Ascot last year. On just two occasions last season the system had qualifiers in every race and this happened at Ascot. The meeting was the most prestigious of the year. So How Does The Service Work?

Each day we provide our members with racing information relating to our Napbet (Win) and Laybet (Lose) selections. Selections are derived from analysing a plethora of qualifying criteria, which includes our own Exclusive Ratings, and a multitude of industry info relating to statistics and form. So WHY Does It Work?

Our computer program filters out horses that DO NOT fit our stringent qualifying criteria, leaving what we consider to be the strongest Nap & Lay Bets available across the whole days race card. On average there approximately 1,000 races in the UK each month, and no matter how dedicated YOU ARE you will not be able to effectively analyse and filter such a massive volume of horses and results, and STILL make horseracing a profitable pursuit. Thanks to modern technology, we are able to use effective computer models that do all the work, WITHOUT EMOTION, accurately pinpointing winner after winner based on historical trends and statistics. After the first stage of filtering, the remaining races are analysed, and our program arrives at our final selections. At the beginning of July Eddie McClung, a member of the Racing Investors Club entered their betting system competition. For a four month period Eddie had to pass on his system selections via a telephone message line. The rules of this competition were that he must make a profit with the system for each of the following 4 months. The tipping telephone line was witnessed and enjoyed by hundreds of Racing Investors Club members.

The system made £8,374 profit in the competition in the months of July, August, September and October. In table above the two other numbers (e.g. July 16 2 ) are the longest winning and losing runs each month. These long winning runs are more impressive when I tell you that this system is laying Racing Post favourites. These results are not a “flash in the pan”, the system has more history than this. We will publish full results with the system going back 18 months and showing profits over £30,000, these results are summarised on the next page. You can see that the last losing month was June 2008 where £80 was lost. All other months this year have shown good profits. Throughout the competition months the strike rate was over 86% and has been as high as 90% in previous months.

The Author Has Operated This System For 23 Months
Eddie McClung is now a semi-retired IT specialist and it is his recent retirement that gave him the free time to develop his Prize System. Now, this again, all sounds quite genuine. If you found a good tipster, you would naturally tell anyone you thought might be interested, but, this is not a normal member, this is 99% likely to be the tipster himself trying to fool people.

The next post on that same thread will probably come from the tipster himself (under a different username), saying thank you to the previous poster for mentioning him as a quality and genuine tipster.

He will come across as very professional and courteous, but he is nothing but a simple con man, who again has no conscience.

The one thing to beware of with this kind of scam, is this, if it is a new member, ie has only 1 post to his name, whereas others have hundreds and can be trusted, then be very wary.

Alway do some due diligence on any service or tipster before handing over any cash.  Simple checks with tipster proofing sites such as the Racing Index is a good start is there an address where you can contact them?

One of the strategies that I often employ is to lay very short priced favourites with the sole intention of backing them later on in the event. Let me explain, let us say that you are looking at a tennis match between Roger Federer and a low ranked unseeded player in a first round match at Wimbledon. Federer is the reigning champion and one of the most gifted players ever to hold a racket and his opponent basically has no or very little chance.

The odds of 1.04 on the exchanges reflects the Swiss players supremacy and expected victory. But you have to understand that despite Federer’s supremacy and his almost certain victory, he is after all going up against another top tennis player. He is not playing some semi decent local club player. This means that there will likely be periods in the match where he will not dominate his opponent.

When you look at the result of a tennis match like this and it reads 7-5,6-4, 6-0, it looks pretty convincing for the winner. Of course over the entire space of the match, that is what it is. But if we were to break the match down into periods then what tends to reveal itself is that the weaker opponent will have good spells.

What looking at the overall result will not show was that Federer was 5-5 in the first set and a break of serve down in the second set. It is these periods that will have a profound effect on the relative prices of both competitors on the betting exchanges.

A clear betting exchange strategy now presents itself. When you LAY any competitor at a massively short price and 1.04 is a massive 1-25, your maximum potential downside is known. If you back Federer at 1.04 for £100 then you only stand to win £4. But the reverse is true when you are laying. If you Lay Federer to that same £100 and he wins then your liability is only £4.

In fact, it is less than £4 because if things fail to go your way and Federer just simply steam rollers his opponent and his price quickly shortens to 1.01 and stays there, you can still back Federer at this price to reduce your losses. But if as expected, the match enters one of those phases where Federer is playing loosely or hasn’t warmed up yet or maybe
is lacking motivation against his journeyman opponent, then his “well up for it” opposition may start to enjoy relative success in various stages of the match.

When Federer’s price hits 1.10 when it is 5-5 in the first set then you can back him for that same £100 to win £10 should he win and thus lock in a bet to nothing. Many events in various sports that have overwhelming favourites follow this pattern where the supposed “no hoper” will have a decent spell in the match and profits on the betting exchanges can accrue from those who are smart enough to do the exact opposite of what everyone else is doing.

This video describes how you can use Bet Angel’s guardian feature to set up and trade multiple markets at the same time.
